October 10th. Training Weekend With Steve Walker. HYC. Redcliffe.

A fresh SE met the Qld mirror sailing team on a warm Saturday morning. Mirror guru, Steve Walker, blessed the QLD mirror sailors with his knowledge and wisdom with all things sailing. Steve ran some great small races, with the competition close. At the front end Brett Buckley and Rebecca Price fought it out, sharing line honours for the first two races. After lunch, Steve stepped into his groove, sharing his wealth of wisdom with the sailors.

Sunday brought lighter winds. Steve ran some small races again, with the emphasis on starting and sail trim. Light wind tunning was the key in shifty winds. Megan Price sailing 'Arrow' and Charlie Hastie sailing 'Spectrum' took line honours. But the most important result was the knowledge learnt. All would agree that Steve Walker was very generous to  the QLD sailors. His enthusiam made it a wonderful weekend. Thanks also must go to Humpybong Y.C and all the volounteers.
